Energy and fuel projects often face complicated permitting requirements, political scrutiny, community concerns, and organized opposition. Land Use Strategies helps clients navigate these challenges through strategic communications, community engagement, stakeholder outreach, and public affairs.
Our team works with project proponents to clearly explain their plans, address public concerns, build relationships with decision-makers, and create informed support throughout the approval process.
Pacific Fuels + Convenience Summit (PFCS) 2019 - San Diego
The Land Use Strategies team had a great time in San Diego at the Pacific Fuel + Convenience Summit. Our green booth really stood out in the crowd! We met a lot of great industry people and had several conversations with gas station and convenience store owners, each of whom had either a story or current issue dealing with upset neighbors, competitors, or elected officials.

On the last day of the summit, we gave a presentation that provided insight on how to deal with large competitors. The feedback we received was very positive, as even the most savvy and successful business owners can feel helpless against national chains. However, although we chose a very narrow scope to discuss, the principles are the same when trying to get your project entitled. Overall, the summit was a success and we look forward to attending again next year.
