Land Use Strategies works with clients and communities dealing with single- and multi-family residential, mixed use, transit-oriented, and manufactured home developments. We have experience with golf course repurposing to residential communities, as well as dealing with rent control measures and legislation.

I have worked with Land Use Strategies for over a decade. They are quick reads and skilled at the strategies and tactics involved in contested CEQA, housing and water issues. They provide superb customer service and are consummate team players.

Magee Preserve - Danville, California

Land Use Strategies assisted local builder Davidon Homes in getting their Magee Preserve development unanimously approved by the Danville Town Council. The project preserves 381 acres —93% of the total 410 acres property—as new permanent public open space, protected forever by both scenic and habitat conservation easements. That’s why it’s called “Magee Preserve.” A total of 69 single family homes will built on just 29 acres of the scenic property.

Our team worked to secure support and endorsements from a diverse set of stakeholders including Save Mount Diablo, Bike East Bay, Mount Diablo Cyclists, Valley Spokesman Bicycle Club, East Bay Regional Parks District, Zae Perrin the President & CEO of the Danville Chamber of Commerce, and the entire Danville Town Council. We organized several community hikes, bicycle rides, and events on the Magee family’s property, as well as making presentations before key organizations such as the realtors association and VFW.
